I've been pretty silent lately, as I'm currently reshaping my website into a more professional, theme-based with service updates.

As I was browsing the web, I was just getting a little bored and started searching for my own name, and alas! I found my website of course, but also an online version of the article that I appeared on two years ago.

As I was reading, I noticed that I'm now a little different from who I was. I lost many of the essence that made me who I was before. Although I've grown to be a little better at making friends of my own age, grew in fashion sense, but the lost in professionalism and discipline. The growing of laziness and losing enthusiasm in certain areas.
I guess I really have to remodel myself into what I really want myself to be and really be commited to stick to it.

It's been almost 5 months since I last posted anything in this space... Was really tied up with other stuffs... Greatest apologies for those who have given your kind support, but yet seeing no new content.

As some might have read, there's this group of british english speaking tourist , humiliating a senior citizen i Singapore, who's just trying to make his own living through providing trishaw transportation services, a fast vanishing trade, but one that definitely should not be lost.
Don't these people feel the least ashamed of their behaviours, and worse, documenting down their uncivilised and uncultured acts?

Everytime when I take a look at the industry and people working in the industry around me, I noticed that a great number of these people I meet are just treating their jobs as "a job". What does this mean? Are they really doing what they like? Are they if, at all, passionate about what they're doing?
What does it mean to be passionate about something? When you're passionate about something, the time spent on it is no longer an obstacle as the process, even if its painstaking, is something that you enjoy and would do to the best, potentially even beyond your perceived ability. Especially in the world we live in today, where information is exploding, the amount of knowledge to be absorbed is just tremendous, whether its in the IT industry, engineering industry, fashion industry or etc, there's always room for improvements.
Without passion, would we even bother reading up on these? Would we go attend upgrade courses at our own expense even?
I've been thinking along, observing, why software developers, especially, in the US and Australia are so much better then most that I see in Singapore, is really rooting back to passion. Many developer contacts/friends that I have from these two countries, I noticed, read alot about all these programming stuff, even on their family vacation (in the airplane) and after office hours. Are we doing that here, if at all?
And when they know that they're ultimately passionate in something, and could not find a company that offer such a job there, they're create such a job for themselves. Is that kind of attitude the source of many great enterprises being built along the way in those countries?
As some would have known, I've been quite busy with the hiring process of a programmer and a designer. Has been months now and I've only hired a designer.
Of the many programmers who come for the interview, I noticed that they really, only know what they're taught. They do not usually make any effort to learn any other things, outside of school. Especially for the fresh school leavers. And guess what? Of the 100+ resumes I received for this position, about 90% are from overseas, and those are the resumes that impressed me more.

Today had been a really long day for me today. Was off today, thus waking up late from the late night party earlier on thursday.
I had been considering of changing an image as a whole for a long time, but never did I have the chance to do a new hairstyle by a internationally aclaimed hairstylist until today, where I went to Jeric's studio to do my hair.
He's a really friendly guy with really deep knowledge and exposure on hairstyling, being trained all over the world and having done hairstyling/cut for artistes such as 5566, S.H.E, Wang Lee Hom, Stephanie Sun, Coco Lee, David Tao, Michelle Branch, Tension, A1, BAD, BEYOND, Jackie Wu, and the list just goes on...
After happily getting my hairdone, I went walking around Bugis randomly walking and ended up getting a bag which I never thought I would. It's none other then a Timbuk2 Bag.
Look really harmless, but burned 158 bucks off my bank! After which, went down to
- Kino to get a couple jap fashion mags
- Suntec for the AOA conference, and
- then to meet Shanon for the costume selection, and
- then to interview,
- then meet matt
- then at dinner
- then went shopping (where i spent another 60 bucks on a new pair of canvas shoes, which I couldntseem to locate on their webbie)
